Summer 2008
A number of you are taking the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard seriously and have installed our EFT Encryption module. It is surprising still how many companies don’t realise that the standard applies to them but the basic rule is if you have card holder information on your system then it applies to you.

Autumn 2007

Welcome to our Spring and Summer newsletter. We have been so busy we seem to have missed our Spring newsletter so we decided to combine them! In our last newsletter we provided you with information about Customer Not Present Fraud (CNP), this time we have an update on the progress of Chip and PIN and the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCIDSS). We have certainly been kept busy over the past 12 months assisting our customers with the move over to Chip and PIN.

What an interesting year it has been. Chip and Pin has rolled out across the industry and from what we can gather it has been very successful. Well, mainly for the those selling in a customer present environment. By all accounts it seems that fraud has now moved to Customer Not Present (CNP) transactions. Summer 2006
It seems the dust is starting to settle on the chip and pin front, well maybe as far as the media is concerned. For those of us involved with chip and Pin on a daily bases that certainly isn’t the case. Now all the major retailers have settled down, the rest of the businesses in the retail market are now attempting to catch up and we have been extremely busy over the last few months helping them progress. It looks like we will still be busy with chip and Pin for a while yet, so if you are considering looking into chip and Pin give us a call.

Welcome to 3X Software’s summer newsletter. We hope you find it to be informative as we try and keep you up to date with what is happening in the Banking industry in relation to Credit/Debit cards and the latest from 3X. This year will see 3X celebrate its 21st Birthday. 3X has been developing software for the IBM midrange for all these years and has seen the arrival and departure of some of our most loved systems the system/32 /34 /36 & /38 and I suppose we could also put the AS/400 into this group as everything is now branded System i or eServer.
